Managing
for Impact
Target Audience: Women newer to management or a supervisory role or women managers who have received little management training and who think the workshop content would be helpful.
Often, a woman who has a great work ethic and is technically competent, hopes to be promoted to manager. What she doesn't expect is that supervising people requires learning a whole new set of skills. She also may find that applying the new skills to her workplace is difficult and she may not have anyone who has the time to give her the coaching she needs. This program gives a new manager or supervisor a chance to learn these competencies from experienced facilitators and to apply them directly to their work with the help of a personal coach.
Unique Features: This program makes use of adult learning strategies that accelerate the learning process. In addition to 6 half-day workshops, participants receive 30 minutes of individual coaching on the weeks in between the program. An opportunity to build a network of supportive colleagues over lunchtime discussions is built into the day. Limited to 16 participants.
