Stephanie (“Steffie”) Allen
Steffie Allen is the President of The Athena Group, a consulting and training firm specializing in the advancement and retention of senior corporate women. Her work has taken her into corporations and professional firms and associations throughout the United States, including Andersen Consulting, John Hancock, Hewlett Packard, AICPA, and Telstra, Australia’s second largest corporation. She has 26 years experience in leadership, leadership development and program development. Her experience ranges from CEO of Management Support Technology, a software development company she took public in 1986, to Senior Vice President of Performance Training Corporation where she trained corporate executives in communication skills. She continues her work in the civic arena as Chair Emeritus of the Women’s Vision Foundation, which is dedicated to the advancement of women leaders working in corporate America.
Carol Alm
As president of ENVISION, Carol Alm helps for-profit and not-for-profit organizations turn opportunities into results through comprehensive and creative business strategy development processes. Transforming organizations and individuals based upon maximizing strengths and managing limitations is the mission of ENVISION. Excellence, not average, is the measure. As a “business strategist,” Carol Alm leads individuals, management, teams and boards who want to move outside of the box built and create a larger scope for their organizations. Her specialty is personal and professional leadership development, and corporate and association growth. Prior to founding ENVISION Alm served as Senior Vice President for Client Services with the Gallup Organization, Associate Dean of the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver and CEO for several nonprofits. She holds a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, from Purdue University and a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Barbara T. Bauer
She is currently President of GlobalSight Partners, a consulting organization supporting companies with international initiatives.
Barbara is known for spearheading advanced projects that have redefined technology roadmaps, and for efforts internationally promoting math, science, engineering and technology education, especially for diverse and underserved groups. She has served on Executive Advisory Boards for the Women’s College at the University of Denver, and the University of Colorado at Boulder College of Engineering and for the College of Arts and Science at St. Louis University. In 2005, Barbara was inducted into the international Women In Technology International Hall of Fame. In 2007 she was awarded the Colorado Software Industry Association’s Technology Supporter of the Year.
Ginger DeReus
Ginger has 25 years experience with Qwest Communications in various areas of telecommunications including multiple Human Resource disciplines: Executive Coaching, Compensation, Sales Compensation (design and administration), Rewards and Recognition, HR Generalist and Labor Relations. As an Executive Director she was responsible for total HR support for three major business divisions, Consumer, Small Business and Large Business, 13,000 employees and three executive officers within a 14 state region. Ginger’s role as Chief Bargaining Agent included leading the Labor Relations organization, collective bargaining for 8 contracts with IBEW and CWA, contract administration, case management and the grievance and arbitration process for 36,000 occupational employees. Prior to her retirement in June 2004, she was Senior Director-Sales Compensation managing design, structure, reporting and governance for 10 sales plans impacting over 5500 employees. Ginger is an active participant in the Women’s Vision Foundation; training facilitator for the Women’sLink program, Chairperson for Women’sLink.
Dana Lynch, AICI, FLC
Dana is the founder and president of Elements of Image, a personal image consulting firm which provides honest, direct, and objective feedback helping clients create a powerful and dynamic image. She specializes in wardrobe planning, style assessment, closet audits, and personal shopping. In addition to personal advising, Dana also speaks on topics from professional dress to effective business casual attire – and how it affects a client’s career. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Textiles and Clothing from Colorado State University; has trained at the Conselle Institute of Image Management; earned a certificate from the Association of Image Consultants International; and has a CTM designation from Toastmasters International. Dana is also a member of the Colorado Women’s Bar Association and a board member of the Alliance of Professional Women.
Sherry Ray, CPCC
Sherry Ray is the President and founder of Ray Consulting Services, Inc. She got her first official sales job in 1980 with a billion dollar corporation. She was one of the first women promoted from within the company and broke glass ceilings as she became one of the top sales people in the world for them. Today she is an international certified business/life coach for executives, small business owners and many professionals including the Denver Bronco Alumni Association and the Rocky Mountain NFL Alumni Association. Sherry is passionate about helping people find their unique qualities to be the best at whatever they do; actually helping them to step into their dreams while honoring their values. Sherry has a B.S. in Organizational Behavior and received her coaching certification from The Coaches Training Institute. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Women’s Chamber and she received their 2007 Volunteer of the Year award.
Colleen Stanley
Colleen Stanley is president of SalesLeadership, Inc. She is a monthly columnist for the Business Journal across the United States, co-author of ‘Motivational Selling’ and author of ‘Growing Great Sales Teams: Lessons from the Cornfield.’ Colleen is a popular speaker for Vistage International, Women’s Leadership Exchange and was the featured speaker on sales for the 2006 New York Times Small Business Summit. Prior to starting SalesLeadership, Colleen was vice president of sales and marketing for Varsity Spirit Corporation. During her 10 years at Varsity, sales increased from 8M to 90M. Varsity was named by Forbes Magazine as one of the 200 fastest growing companies in the United States. Clients include: Orlando Magic, Corporate Express, Vail Resorts, Lafarge, Gerald H. Phipps, Leanin’ Tree, 3M, Siemens Corporation, Land Title Guarantee, Alps Mutual Fund, and Alpine Bank.
Caroline Turner, MA, JD
Caroline is a dynamic and engaging working facilitator, speaker and executive coach, and a principal of The AthenA Group. Caroline is the former senior vice president, general counsel of Coors Brewing Company. In addition to leading the internal legal function, she headed the company’s Public Affairs Department. Before joining Coors, Caroline was a partner in the law firm of Holme Roberts & Owen, Denver, Colorado, where she specialized in securities law and corporate transactions. Caroline is a member of the boards of directors of Women’s Vision Foundation and Warren Village, the advisory board of The Mentoring Company and the honorary board of the Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame. Caroline was recognized in 2000 by the Women’s Vision Foundation as Corporate Woman of the Year, received the Outstanding Alumni award from the University of Denver College of Law in 1999, named a Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts in 2000, honored by Coors in 2002 with the John Meadows Spirit of Diversity Award and in 2005 received the Eleanor P. Williams award from the Arthritis Foundation of the Rocky Mountains.
